"Siete de Mayo is not a noteworthy holiday", you might ignorantly quip back to us. However, here at Topshelf Records, we have reason to celebrate (pun intended). Here's the deal: We are officially a part of this year's Vans Warped Tour. We will have a tent set up at every date (sans Canadian dates) from June 29th in Pomona, CA through August 9th back here in Massachusetts. Hit us up at a date near you. We have amazing deals on all our releases along with new shirts / pins / stickers and other swag. It's gonna be a good summer.
Of course with us doing Warped all summer, this also means we'll be doing the Topshelf Records Northeast Sampler again this year. Look out for this. Album art, track listing (which is looking to BLOW last year's out of the water... seriously, it's good) and preorder will be available shortly.
In other exciting Topshelf related news: We have worked out an agreement with the Iron Horse Entertainment Group and Pearl Street Nightclub to host local concerts under the moniker "Topshelf Records Presents...". Our first one is June 9th. The line-up will be posted shortly along with details. If you guys ever wanted to show your support for us, now'd be a good time to do it by going to this show! Thanks a lot, and don't forget about your mothers next week!

Are we old yet? Hell, we are still new as heck but I would like to give a huge THANK YOU to any and everyone who has been to one of our shows, been to one of our bands shows, bought something, said hi, gave us a high five, said anything nice about us...forget it... EVERYONE if you are reading this thank you! Thank You! Thank You! I don't think any of us had ever thought that in our first year we could have done everything that we did. We have signed three bands, released 5 (Yes five) albums, and not gone bankrupt (however close we might be)
So how do we celebrate? Cutting prices on merch, giving away free stuff, and having a party. That's right folks, until March 21st, we have dropped the price of Sixfinger's Songs For The Escape Artist and Aeroplane, 1929's To Persevere and everyone who orders a CD will get a free Sampler CD and their choice of a free sticker. Just tell us which sticker you want when you order. We are having a huge party/show March 16th at The Flywheel in Easthampton, Ma and we are going to have FREE pizza and giveaways for those who come out. If you haven't gotten the new Stand Up Get Down album yet you better because it ROCKS and look for Mollers Work and Death downloadable on March 27th

Did you pre order your copy of the Stand Up Get Down album or check out the new tracks yet? March is looking to be a really busy month for us, with the release of We Have Something To Celebrate, the Stand Up Get Down CD release show, and plans for the future (which we hope will make you all very happy). We are very excited to add one more thing to that list...the release of Mollers' full length Work And Death.
The album will drop on March 27th and will be available through all of our digital outlets as it is a digital only release. So head on over to our myspace and Mollers myspace to listen to some songs from the album.

MAN are we ever busy lately! So here's the deal. We missed out on the whole wishing you a happy new year and happy holidays thing (still keeping those resolutions? Yeah, us either). So, we're gonna make it up to you (we think). Here're your options:
Inadequate gift option #1.) Click here to sign up to have us mail you free stickers on us. You don't pay a penny except for your precious time to fill out our simple form.
Inadequate gift option #2.) The debut full-length from Northampton's Stand Up Get Down entitled We Have Something to Celebrate is done and in our hands. But, the thing is, we want it in your hands. So, here's an incentive for ya. Starting February 9th, you can preorder the album here. And take solace in the fact that you're a smart consumer and will have successfully avoided the consumer craze that this album will inevitably evoke along with paying a limited time only discounted price. Find peace of mind in the fact that your order will ship March 1st and arrive safely at your place of residence. Rest easily knowing it will be sent with a complimentary 11x17 poster, stickers and a discounted ticket to the CD Release show on March 9th. Basically, just do this.
Inadequate gift option #3.) We've worked our tails off setting up some SWEEEET shows for you. With the likes of Owen, Kevin Devine, Pablo and Rocky Votolato, you DON'T wanna miss these. Do yourself a favor and take a night out on the town. Check out our myspace for all the details on these.
Inadequate gift option #4.) Who doesn't like free music? Well, if you don't, then you shouldn't click here to download Aeroplane, 1929's new FREELY DOWNLOADABLE version of "What it is I'm Made of". But if you do like that sorta thing, by all means: click away you happy little music pirater, you.
So yeah. That's all I got for ya. Thanks for reading. Check out the Myspace and Facebook groups. We update those (GASP!) much more regularly. There's a LOT going on soon. So keep tabs, people. Have a happy [cough, smoozy corporate holiday] valentines day. And if you're at one of our shows, say hi, eh?! Take care.

I know that we just posted some exciting news but we have even more. Moller's The Black Sky EP is now available for download at iTunes, along with eMusic, and AOLMusicNow. It will be available in more places shortly but for now go read the latest review while you download your new tunes.
I woke up to something quite awesome this morning and we would like to share it with everyone. The great people at The Local Buzz wrote an article about Topshelf called From The Top: Label Puts Local Bands On The Map. You can view that article here.

OK, so Summer's officially over and we've all been brought back to Earth with, you know, JOBS annnd SCHOOL... Fret Not though! We shall not stop fighting for the great citizens of Western Massachusetts (and beyond). We're all settled back in and are hard at work and gearing up for some big announcements within the coming weeks (not months, people. Weeks. Hell, DAYS even). So keep tabs. Bookmark us. Don't touch that dial, etc.
In the meantime, however: a few quick things. ONE: Aeroplane, 1929 has some new shows up. Check those jams out. They'll also be announcing their Winter tour schedule within the week. We'll have it here as well. TWO: We made a Facebook group. If you have a Facebook account (it's now open to the general public, by the way) then go join it! THREE: Incase you forgot, we DO still have a message board. Hit it up here. Rad. Thanks for the time.

Warped Tour was a blast, we met a lot of new friends and saw some old ones along the way. We also managed to sell a lot of merch while not killing eachother or dying of thirst, so that is a plus.
Some friends came along the way to help us out and they all deserve a little thanks, Alex (Aeroplane, 1929), Bemis (At Home Among Thieves), Mark (Manic Productions), Jay (Handsome Salesmen R' Us), and Krissy. I would also like to thank the High School Football Heroes, Asbestos Records, and Shira Girl. We just wanted to say Hi, let you know that we are still alive, and that we are working on some big news in the future so stay tuned.
-Seth [seth@topshelf-records.com]
Everything is basically packed, Aeroplane, 1929 is on the road, and the Vans Warped Tour is in our sights. That's right, we are leaving to follow the Warped tour for 12 days and to many people's saddened hearts we will not be going to Arizona. However, if you are at one of the stops feel free to hang out and say hi.
We also have put together an online store so that you can purchase Topshelf swag straight from us. We have shirts, cds, stickers, and posters so check out the store. Since we will be on the road, it also means that any orders will not get seen until August 12th. Feel free to still order and we will get your goodies out to you asap.
-Seth [seth@topshelf-records.com]
Hey. So, the Aeroplane, 1929 album To Persevere official street date (yes, I can now say official) is tomorrow, May 2nd, and to help get everything ready I went to a few record stores around the area to deliver copies. We are excited about this album and if you don't own a copy yet you are in luck.
We have tried to make it easy for you to get yourself a copy if you just can't wait until you see Aeroplane, 1929 again. Your options are to go over to Smartpunk where you get yourself a free 11x17 poster and some stickers or head out to one of these fine stores: Mystery Train, Night Owl Records, Music Outlet, About Music, Turn It Up, Music Men, and Platterpus Records. You can find more info about these stores and what TSR titles they carry under the store section.
Don't like physical copies of CD's? are you that into the technical future?! Well, we aren't far behind and we will have a list of places where you can purchase Topshelf music on the internet soon (This will constantly be updated).
-Seth [seth@topshelf-records.com]
Hellllllo. We are Topshelf Records and we now have a website! Take us seriously! I'll spare you a huge introduction on this, the first news post. We, well, we put out records. Give us some time, we'll grow on ya. So, that aside... some stuff going on. Let's do a run down, eh?
This past Wednesday marked the date of our second release: Aeroplane, 1929's To Persevere. If you couldn't make it out to the release show at the JBO (which went incredibly well... coffee-spilling girl fights in the parking lot aside, of course) then you can pick it up one of three ways which I will list here in the order in which I prefer you did them! Buy it from Smartpunk (there's a link to the right under new releases), go to a show and pick up a copy, or purchase it on iTunes (this'll be up in a few days). Cool. If you buy it off Smartpunk, they'll send you a free poster and stickers with the order. Took a lot of HJ's to swing that one.
Feel free to peruse the site as much as you'd like. That's sorta why it's here. Being as it's new, there are some bugs and dead links still. If you happen to notice anything major, please contact me (my e-mail is at the end of this post) with any details. Cool. Stay tuned. We definitely have a lot of announcements to make in the coming weeks.
