We have some awesome news to share with you. Yes more awesome than a few months without a news post! So, there're four things that I wanna share with yous guys and I am going to be as direct as possible so you can enjoy them as much as we do.
ONE (ah ah ah): We signed Us Against The Archers. They are wrapping up the recording of their album Creating Our Universe this weekend, in fact, and the album will hit stores August 19th. Swing by their myspace to check out some jams and download the tracks that they have up.
TWO (ah ah ah): SLUTS have gotten a new singer and changed their name to Defeater. They part ways with former singer, Mike Poulin, on completely good terms. Mike will remain safely in our Top Friends and hearts for always <3. The band has also posted two tracks on their myspace for you to check out.
THREE (ah ah ah): Aeroplane, 1929. will be on tour this summer with Connecticut mainstays' Titles. They've recently added a slew of dates for the tour on their myspace. If you're a fan residing outside of the Northeast, this'd be your time to catch them live, dood!
And lastly (ah ah ah?), we want to let you all know that we are going to be on this year's Vans Warped Tour. We will be aqcuiring farmer's tans and peddling our wares at discounted prices on every US date of the tour! So if you're going, be sure to look out for our tent as we might just be giving you a bunch of FREE stuff (DUH!).

Hey everyone. First off: If you live in a state hosting a Republican / Democratic primary today, make sure you get out and vote! This year is more closely contested than any in recent election history! It really freakin' matters!
OK, so yeah! In other news, we're pleased to announce that we've signed our good friends (and better musicians) in the Boston Hardcore / Punk outfit, SLUTS. They are currently recording their [yet to be named] full length at The Getaway Group which is scheduled to be released in early fall of 2008. Head on over to their Myspace and check 'em out (and add them!).
Also, Baker has some great shows coming up with Limbeck and John Ralston. Aeroplane is playing out soon with the likes of The Walkmen and Cursive. All amazing shows. Be sure to check them out if you're in the area (visit our myspace for more info).

Howdy! Here's a few happenings in Topshelf land for you cool kids. Just because we're really bad at making news posts doesn't mean we're not doing stuff, ya dig?! Here's the scoop:
So the webstore's up. DUH. Where've ya been?! While we're on the topic of things we want you to click: Clickety-Click.
Moller just wrapped up mixing and mastering their new album over at the newly renovated Rotary Records Studio In West Springfield, MA (We recommend them to anyone). Baker and Aeroplane, 1929 are still playing regional dates regularly. Make sure to get out and check them out! We'll be two years old in March and have some super big plans in store for it. Most of which I can't tell you just yet, but what I can is that we'll be having at least one anniversary party / show. We're currently booking one at Maximum Capacity in Downtown Chicopee, MA. Details to follow shortly.
Okay. Just wanted to let you know we're alive. We need to get back to watching 24/7 Patriots coverage and playing Rock Band. Later! Like I said, Super Important and awesome announcements to come soon!

Hello everyone! Updates!
1.) We love you! That's not an update, you might say. But it's true! Here, we'll prove it. So let's say you've been on the fence about buying the new Baker album? Or picking up that Aeroplane, 1929 disc? Or whatever, you like some of our stuff, but just can't pull the trigger, OK? Well, then you should take a little cyber-stroll on over to our webstore, alright? And then enter "LOVE" as a promo code while checking out and get a 10% discount for your whole order! Neat! That's not a very convincing show of our love, is it? Well, that's the best we can do. OUR BAD.
2.) According to the Local Buzz, We are Western Massachusetts' "Record Label of the Year" and we think that's cool and thank them for it! Read it yourself in this month's issue.
3.) It's Mega Cold out! Stay warm out there and keep checkin' back. We have a series of announcements to make for the new year that, quite frankly, are super rad. See ya around.

Hey everyone, we know it has been a long time but we are back from being part of the entire Vans Warped Tour and have some great news. We have signed another band!! They are called Baker and are a Boston based Rock/Pop band, yes our first artist to be outside of Western Mass. We will be releasing Baker's first full-length in October and we couldn't be happier that they have decided to work with us.
I just want to take a quick second to say thank you to everyone who had helped us this summer, everyone who was part of our crew for the warped tour, and everyone who came up to our tent and said hello. We made some great friends and met some amazing people so THANK YOU. Please keep checking back as we are going to continue to have more news and, now that we are back, lots more updates. Oh, and btw...All of our albums are now on ITUNES.

Things have been a bit more than hectic around here as of late. The new Aeroplane, 1929 album The Holy Ghost is done and will be released on June 21st. It is the follow up album to their debut full length To Persevere and we could not be more excited that it is coming out on Topshelf Records. We have started a pre-order for the album and we also have a few package deals which are definitely worth checking out. The band will be hitting the road for two mini tours in June and July to support the album so be on the lookout for them in a town near you. There are also going to be two big CD Release Shows: The first of which is at The Space (Hampden, CT - June 21st) and the second at Pearl Street Night Club (Northampton, MA - June 30th)
The 2007 Northeast Sampler is now available and this line up is INSANE!! I would like to take a quick second to thank all of the bands, labels, and anyone who helped us with this as it wouldn't have happened without you.
Moller is also back in town recording and playing several shows so if you get a chance go check one of them out. There are a lot of small things around the site which we are going to try and fix/update/remove/make easier within the next few weeks before we meet up with the Warped Tour so please bare with us and keep checking back.
TOPSHELF RECORDS PRESENTS: June 30th @ Pearl St. Night Club: AEROPLANE, 1929 CD RELEASE SHOW with guests My My, The Novels and Count West West. This is going to be an amazing show and you will NOT want to miss it. Get your tickets from the bands or the box office today!!
