Information
Hey!
We are Topshelf Records. We started doing this in 2005 out of a love for music — particularly on the local level. Now, years later, We still strive to work with our bands and to provide them with support in any way that we can; to go beyond just releasing albums. We friggin' love doing this.

Shipping
Generally speaking, we ship most items within a day or two (domestic orders) and three to five days (international orders) of receiving an order (exceptions being if we are waiting on more stock, if you’ve ordered multiple items and one is a pre-order or not in stock or what you’ve ordered is a pre-order).
If you’ve ordered from us and it seems like the price of shipping is way too high, here’s the deal: if you are charged too much for shipping, we’ll refund you the difference, promise. We currently don’t have our webstore set up to tie in the weight of each product so we have to make sure that we cover not only the cost of shipping locally, regionally and within the USA, but internationally as well. We realize it’s pretty annoying and are currently working on making things better — but for now — thanks for your patience and thanks for the support!

Formspring Us!
I know you guys said a lot of the bands on your roster are playing sxsw this year. Will you guys be having a showcase with all those bands or at least most of them?
Wouldn't be much fun if we didn't now would it? :)
Will the Grown Ups bobby pin shirt ever be in stock again?
Probably not. The cat one, maybe.
hello, did you suspend the "-$5 for international dudes" coupon code? few days ago when I last checked it was active... (by xfactor675)
It expired midnight on Friday. :/ We kept it open for two extra weeks.
Hey, do you guys still make Topshelf buttons? I miss the surprise of getting them in with my orders, plus they were like the best colored buttons compared to other labels' buttons. (by DCollins3)
We had run out for a little while. But we made more in a new color and all new orders have them again!
I'm just wondering and I could be wrong here, but the pianos become the teeth hoodie has been on preorder for a while (I could be wrong) and im just wondering when you plan on shipping them? (by anthemsandall)
It says it's a preorder on the store only because we forgot to change the description. It's been shipping for a bit now. If you feel there's been an error on our part with your order, please email us: info [at] topshelfrecords [dot] com. Thanks!
I believe somebody told me that you guys had your lacquers cut separately from where you have your records pressed. If that's the case, would you mind sharing where you have your lacquers cut? (by jamvicar)
We've used Lucky Lacquers but usually have Gotta Groove handle it.
Feelings on the David Bowie/Mick Jagger rendition of Dancing in the Street?
I am OK with this.
Where do you guys recommend someone who is starting out gets CD's printed?
We use A to Z Media. But you could always CD-r it and screen some jackets too.
I ordered a The saddest landscape longsleeve. And then 3 days later or so I ordered a split 7". I got the vinyl the other day but havent gotten the shirt or even an email saying its been sent?
That's because it hasn't been sent. Also, this: http://d.pr/CRj7
How did you get started with a record label? and what tips would you offer to someone who wants to start a small town label for locals? any tips on getting distribution rights for other bands? or any other tips you can offer? THANKS!
Check our past formspring answers. We've touched on this one plenty. Thanks!
